51 knives and four replica firearms
The Civil Guard not only found biological remains and evidence that a crime had been committed during the searches of the villa that Leonardo Valencia illegally occupied. Investigators also stumbled upon an arsenal of knives scattered throughout the house that they had to collect, number, and now analyze to determine which of them Valdemoro’s butcher used to assassinate his victim.
It was on October 26 when Celia, Leonardo’s ex-girlfriend, went to the barracks to report that a crime had occurred in the chalet on Calle Francia and Leonardo was the author. The guards surprised Leonardo at the very door of the house when he returned from disposing of part of his victim’s corpse with a shopping cart. A first look at the entrance to the house already revealed some trash bags with blood remains, two scalpels, a hammer, a machete and a razor. There was so much more.
In the parlor of the butcher’s house, the guards found five Japanese swords, four ornamental knives, two other knives, and two more knives. However, as can be seen in these images that we published in OKDIARIO of the assassin’s house registry, in the main room the guards found 29 more bladed weapons… curved knives, machetes of all kinds, stilettos, American fists, butterfly knives, electric fenders and up to four replicas of firearms powered by gas and compressed air. There were so many weapons that the investigators collected at the killer’s home that they had to make a sketch of each floor of the house, pointing one by one on the map where each object was.
Among all those weapons were those that the murderer allegedly used to murder his victim and dispose of his body. Several of them were stained with blood and are pending analysis due to the lack of collaboration of the alleged murderer. Leonardo admitted his crime to the guards during his detention but without revealing how he had carried it out, then refused to testify before the investigators and the judge in the case.
Now, Leonardo remains mute in prison but investigators already have several clues as to how the crime occurred pending the final autopsy report. His girlfriend, also imputed for cover-up, told them how Leonardo himself confessed that he first tried to strangle his victim by the “mataleón” method and how the girl resisted he strangled her with a cable until leaving her defenseless finishing off with several stab wounds in the chest.
The story is terrifying but it was not new to the homicide civil guards. Another previous girlfriend of the alleged murderer related how he tried to suffocate her with the same method, she was luckier and after resisting kicks, she managed to leave the house of horrors and denounce Leonardo. In fact, the day Leonardo killed his victim, he had an order to remove that woman.
