Abel Caballero turns off Vigo’s Christmas lights today in front of fifty people
Vigo will dismiss its Christmas lighting this Sunday with a “solemn act” to which only around fifty people will be allowed access due to the pandemic.
This was advanced this Friday by the mayor, Abel Caballero, in a press conference in which he specified that the event will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Policarpo Sanz street, which also hosted the act of lighting the Christmas lighting at the beginning of last December and where the tree is located.
In this regard, the governor of the olive city has explained that the act of “shutdown” will be limited to an audience of around fifty people who must remain seated in chairs to respect the health protocol.
Thus, Abel Caballero has indicated that this event, although limited by the epidemiological situation, seeks to “convey the farewell (of the city) to this Christmas” and has stated that his expectation is that next year this season will celebrate “COVID free ».
