The I Inclusive Mile will be in charge of putting the gold brooch to the tenth Inclusive Sports Week. This test will be held in the square of East from Madrid on October 17 and will feature renowned athletes with and without disabilities. Last Thursday the Gala in which Alejandro Blanco, president of Spanish Olympic Committee, presented this sporting event.
Next to him, they were Iñaki Ereño, President of the Sanitas Foundation, Y Miguel Carballeda, President of Spanish Paralympic Committee. It will be a sporting event that will feature athletes such as Fermín Cacho, Olympic champion in Barcelona 1992, José Manuel Abascal, Bronze in Los Angeles 1984, Y José Luis González, world runner-up in Rome 1987.
A total of 50 athletes divided into five teams will participate, competing simultaneously with people with and without disabilities. In addition, they will also be present Chema Martínez, Nuria Fernandez, Carla Sacramento, Mayte Martínez, Eva Moral, Jairo Ruiz Y Enhamed Enhamed, who have shown their support for this inclusive commitment with their participation.
Inclusion in sport is a reality
This race on equal terms aims to demonstrate to everyone that the inclusion of people with different abilities in sport and society has become a reality. It will also have an inclusive regulation created by the Sanitas Foundation Chair from Inclusive Sports, of the Polytechnic University from Madrid.
