The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has notified 34 provinces throughout Friday Spain by risk (yellow) or significant risk (orange) from rain, snow, wind, low temperatures and / or coastal phenomena.

This Friday, the AEMET expects locally strong or persistent rainfall in the Cantabrian area, northern Navarra and the Balearic Islands and significant snowfall in the mountainous systems of the northern peninsular. In addition, strong wind or strong intervals will blow in the Cantabrian, Galician and Alboran coastlines, as well as in the eastern peninsular third and in mountain areas.

Thus, it has activated the important risk warning for coastal phenomena and waves up to 7 meters high in La Coruña, Lugo, Asturias, Cantabria, Vizcaya, Guipúzcoa and Tarragona. The notice will be yellow due to coastal phenomena in Pontevedra, Barcelona, ​​Gerona, Castellón, Valencia, Alicante, Almería, Granada, Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera, Gran Canaria, La Gomera, Tenerife and the autonomous city of Melilla.

As for the risks due to rainfall, all yellow, AEMET has notified Asturias, Cantabria, Álava, Vizcaya, Guipúzcoa, Navarra, Mallorca and Menora. The risk of snowfall will affect Lugo, Orense, Asturias, León, Palencia, Navarra and Lérida, where they can accumulate 10 to 15 centimeters thick.

The AEMET has predicted that on Friday the skies will be cloudy or overcast and with precipitation that will affect the entire north end of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands and that they will be accompanied by occasional storms that could be locally strong or persistent in the Cantabrian area, northern Navarra and the Balearic Islands They will also extend, although with less probability and intensity, to other areas of the northern half of the Peninsula, southern plateau and eastern Andalusian mountains.

However, in the rest of the Peninsula the sky will be little cloudy while in the Canary Islands a day of cloudy skies is expected with precipitation in the north of the islands of greater relief and little cloudy or with cloudy intervals in the rest.

Precipitation will be in the form of snow on the Peninsula from 1,000 to 1,300 meters and temperatures will drop in all areas except Galicia and western Canary Islands, where they will rise slightly. Frost will be weak in mountain areas and somewhat more intense in the Pyrenees.
