Figo dismisses him by plagiarizing Cristiano Ronaldo’s message

The death of Kobe Bryant has shocked the world at large with the dramatic events and has filled social media with messages that reflect the enormous sadness of the loss of one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The famous have shown their bitter sorrow for it, but it has not been without controversy, as in the case of Luis Figo.

The former Portuguese player has published this tweet to mourn Kobe’s death: β€œIt is very sad to hear the heartbreaking news of the death of Kobe and his daughter Gianna. Kobe was a true legend and inspiration for many. Send my condolences to his family and friends and to the families of all those who lost their lives in the accident. RIP Legend Β».

So far so good. The problem was that it was exactly the same message, word for word, that his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo had sent hours before.

You did not have to be a fortune teller to intuit that Luis Figo was going to rain down the criticism for copying and pasting the CR7 message and the users on Twitter were fattened with the former Portuguese player.
