In the last month more immigrants arrive in the Canary Islands than in the rest of the year

In the last month more than 4,500 immigrants to the coasts of the Canary Islands. They are more than half of those that had arrived in the rest of 2020. The neighbors is it so worried for the image and for the ‘call effect’. The uneasiness also comes because immigrants do not have access to masks and because as soon as they arrive they occupy parks, piers and are referred to tourist establishments. Meanwhile, the Canarian Government is waiting for help from the central Government that they do not receive, as explained by the Canarian Executive spokesman, Julio Cruz: «We we will not stop claiming the attention of the government of the nation, to the extent that the phenomenon has not stopped and the influx of migrants continues.
