Reebook breaks his contract for a racist tweet
Reebook breaks with CrossFit. The American brand, which has been the great support for the world of this new sport in recent years, has decided to unilaterally break the contract with CrossFit due to racist comments on social networks by Greg Glassman, the CEO of the successful training program.
It all happened because of an unfortunate tweet from Greg Glassman. The businessman, a 63-year-old former police officer, responded to a tweet from the Institute for Health and Education condemning the death of George Floyd, the African American man who died at the hands of a police officer in the United States.
Thus, the institute tweeted “Racism is a public health issue,” to which Greg Glassman replied: Floyd-19, in allusion to George Floyd and the coronavirus pandemic. Immediately after, social media turned against the CEO of Crossfit, who ended up deleting the comment.
It is not the first time that the controversial Glassman has messed it up on social networks. A few days ago, the businessman was in the news for the bad response he made to one of the gyms where he develops the CrossFit program, after he asked him to condemn the death of George Floyd.
