The surprising bond between Duarte and Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada
Duarte and Aldara Falcó are perhaps the most unknown children of the former Marquis de Griñón. The young people were born from the marriage of Carlos Falcó with Fátima de la Cierva and today they do not monopolize as many headlines as their older brothers. In fact, unlike them, neither of them has inherited title from their father.
Seven months after the death of the Marquis, the family has just faced a new loss. Carlos Falcó’s brother, Fernando, Marquis of Cubas, died this week after being admitted for several days.
Duarte and Aldara are, without a doubt, the most unknown of the Griñón clan. However, this week, the youngest son of Carlos Falcó has become the focus of interest for a reason that has nothing to do with his last name.
At just 26 years old, Duarte is not very given to appearing at social events or giving interviews, unless there is a reason that justifies it. The young man has suffered from ADHD since before adolescence, which causes him to be hyperactive. Duarte is now focused on his artistic side and has just made his debut as a painter by Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada.
Carlos Falcó’s young son has just opened his first exhibition as a painter and the designer has acted as host. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the paintings will go to RedADHD, a foundation of which Duarte is a member and which is dedicated to researching and advising on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
The exhibition began last week – the same day his uncle Fernando Falcó passed away – but there has been no opening party of any kind due to the coronavirus crisis. It is scheduled to be extended until the end of the month at Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada’s store in Madrid’s Calle de Serrano. However, despite what one might think, Duarte’s paintings are not signed under his name, but with the pseudonym “By Abstract Concept”. A name that the young man associates with the functioning of his mind, hyperactive and abstract.
The sample consists of about twenty paintings that are for sale for a price of fifty euros each and in which the color stands out, which offers an image of optimism and that can be perfectly linked with the designer’s stamp, which is pure color. Although he is only going to exhibit fifty works, the truth is that he has almost three hundred at home, so that if they are sold he can replace them. The young man has found one of his great passions in painting and spends a lot of time dedicated to it, but also to photography. Duarte has acknowledged that although he has taken it with enthusiasm and is enthusiastic, the truth is that he has only been painting for a few months, so that his father could never see this artistic facet of his personality.
