The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has proposed this Thursday delay the November presidential electionsWhile all polls show him behind Democratic candidate Joe Biden in several key states.
Trump has suggested it through his Twitter account, positioning himself against voting by mail. “Universal postal voting (not absentee voting, which is good), the 2020 elections will be the most imprecise and fraudulent in history. They will be embarrassing for the United States. Should we delay elections until people can vote properly and safely? “She wrote.
With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote ???

The coronavirus crisis has caused several US states to consider facilitating voting by mail, for concerns about infection and public health.
Earlier this month, six US states were planning to hold the elections exclusively by mail in November: California, Utah, Hawaii, Colorado, Oregon and Washington. These states will automatically send the ballots to all registered voters, which must then be returned or turned in on Election Day.
Trump has always been very critical of voting by mail, saying that he encouraged “fraud” and that it could be the case of “having a person in the living room of a house signing uncontrolled ballots“
Despite his suggestion, federal election dates are set by Congress, and the Constitution does not foresee a delay for the investiture of January 20. Any such measure would require a change in federal law, which means it would have to go through Democrats, who are in the majority in the House of Representatives as well as the Republican-controlled Senate.
The tweet comes amid polls suggesting the president lags Democrat Joe Biden less than 100 days from the vote.
