Two brothers arrested accused of causing the fatal accident in which their sister died in Móstoles

The Civil Guard detained Pilar’s two brothers on Tuesday in the Madrid town of Arroyomolinos, who died in a traffic accident allegedly caused by their two brothers last August in Móstoles. The specialists of the Civil Guard followed the track after fleeing the accident that claimed the lives of her sister, another man and one of her minor nieces.

What at first looked like a traffic accident at kilometer 20 of the Extremadura highway became a homicide investigation. The Seat León in which Pilar, her brother-in-law and two of her daughters were traveling was, according to sources in the case, chased and rammed by the car that Pilar’s two brothers were driving until they got him off the road. The two alleged assailants chased Pilar’s car to overtake it and hitting the side of the victims’ vehicle, they pulled it off the road causing it to crash violently against a lamppost and a tree. When the emergency personnel arrived, they could only certify the death of Pilar, Raúl and one of the minors, attending to the other minor survivor who was transferred to the 12 de Octubre hospital with fractures and in a very serious condition.

The reason was the family dispute that took place hours before at the house of Pilar’s in-laws in Navalcarnero. There, the woman and her brother-in-law Raúl had a strong dispute with her ex-partner and the in-laws who did not want to hand over the girls. They finally managed to put the two minors in the car and flee the place but the brothers chased him until they killed three of the four occupants of the car. Only one of the minors survived the accident. The collision caused a dense column of smoke that the residents of the area sighted, it was the witnesses who described to the guards the escape of two men on foot leaving the other vehicle that had caused the accident.

Since then the Civil Guard had the registration of the car of the alleged murderers and it was only a matter of time to find them. The search has lasted 45 days until finally today, Tuesday, the two brothers have been arrested in the nearby municipality of Arroyomolinos.
